Steelcape Applets provide enhanced security for web applications and execute digital certificate and encryption mechanisms to secure your transactional data. Steelcape Applets make protected network resources availble without being exposed to the internet.
Steelcape Applets require an initial registration with the Steelcape Enterprise Server™ and a connection is not required to transact data. Steelcape Applets work with the most popular web browsers that support scripting (PHP, ASP, Perl, etc.).

How it works:
The Steelcape Secure Applet is downloaded from a public web server where it is registered with the Steelcape Enterprise Server to communicate with a service running on a steelcape protected host on a private network. At this point there is a Steelcape Enabled connection between the Web Browser to a Server behind a firewall. Once the session is ended the Applet is killed. |
