MARKETING DIRECTOR
The Steelcape Team is looking for a dynamic individual with experience in the IT Security services realm to oversee and execute all aspects of the Marketing of Steelcape Inc. Ideal candidates must have the ability to think out of the box and possess the creativity to be part of Steelcape?s fast growth of its unique security product. The Marketing Director will work with the VP of Sales to develop marketing strategies that will include Web Site Content Development, Trade Show scheduling, Product Launch, PR, and Product Development.
Requirements:
- 2 + years security focused technical marketing experience.
- 2 + years communicating security product benefits experience required.
- 6 + years Marketing/sales experience.
- Self Motivated and very detail oriented.
- A team player that takes direction well and has an aptitude for learning.
- Extremely outgoing, love interacting with people and is comfortable speaking in front of others.
- Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Bachelors Degree Preferred.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to build, manage, and close revenue opportunities for Steelcape with systems integrators, VARs, OEMs and partners in the security and networking sectors. The incumbent will be responsible for managing relationships with key partners. Proven success managing security-focused customers and strategic partners is crucial.
Requirements:
- Five to seven years successful experience selling network security software, services and solutions to global organizations.
- Successful account sales experience in Global 350, selling directly and through systems integrators.
- Intimate knowledge of the following technology areas: firewall applications, security Infrastructure, and application security.
- Ability to develop, author and articulate a strategic account plan.
- Experience driving business through systems integrators, VARs and partners.
- Ability to influence and motivate large institutions to take action.
- Ability to foster team orientation with counterparts.
- Ability to speak with confidence and credibility.
- Ability to manage a moderate amount of travel in North America.
- Success in managing multiple, often competing, priorities and tasks.
- Highly professional and effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong and existing rolodex in the security marketplace.
Compensation
The base salary and commission structure is in-line with industry standards.
Educational requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related subject.
C PROGRAMMER
Steelcape is a technology startup ? with a difference. We have a product
that is innovative, technologically sophisticated, has a demand, and
actually works! We want to hire a good C programmer who wants to work in
an exciting environment, helping to fix basic security flaws in TCP/IP.
Specifically, we need programmers who can comfortably produce ANSI C
compatible code - Programmers who aren't afraid of malloc and free ?
programmers who can code BSD socket applications in their sleep ?
programmers who not only don't run away from challenges, but embrace and
then master them. Not only do we want this kind of programmer, we want
to pay them a fair wage for their mad skills.
In terms of requirements, we need a programmer who knows Windows DDK
development well ? specifically NDIS interfaces. We also strongly desire
extensive experience in ANSI C, BSD sockets, multi-threaded programming
(and/or multiprocess programming), and is familiar with GNU Linux/BSD or
another POSIX-like environment.
Ideally, we would love a prospective employee to have experience with
embedded hardware development with C, and GNU Linux or BSD kernel
development experience.
Your number of years of experience isn't as important as the attitude
you bring forward and your willingness to learn and adapt.
